Eating Cheap: A Week's Worth of Inexpensive Meals

Short on cash? Are you hungry a student? Or maybe you are saving themselves for the next gas tank!

Whatever the case, sometimes we need all the corners until the next paycheck rolls in. cut

These meals will refuel you without emptying wallets. You should feed four hungry mouths.

While prices vary greatly depending on the part of the country, and your grocery store, you'll still have those dinners are your food dollar to the max line.

Lentil stew. OnePackage of lenses, a few carrots, some potatoes, water. Place the package of lentils in a large soup pot and add the appropriate amount of water (1-1/2 cups water to a cup of lentils works best). Peel the potatoes and carrots to bite, and cut into slices about the size. In the soup pot. Salt and pepper to taste. If you do it: Add a ham bone, a bit of leftover beef, bacon, bay leaf, or favorite herbs.

Baked potatoes. Nothing here is difficult. Buy a large baking potatoes, or just aSack of potatoes for sale. When small to bake more of them per serving. Select your preferred flooring: Just butter, salt and pepper, cheese, broccoli, sour cream, bacon, or whatever is at hand.

Cheese quesadillas. Take this with flour tortillas. Heat two tortillas in a pan and remove to a plate. Top tortilla with the remaining grated cheese. When melted, about 1-2 minutes, place the other tortilla on top. Allow for a minute or so to cook, reflect the wholeand cook, what about the other side a minute. Dump onto a plate, a slice with a pizza cutter. If you do it: in shredded cooked chicken to the cheese. Serve with salsa.

Scrambled eggs. Get a dozen less than a dollar. Crack eggs into a bowl and whisk. Add spice milk, salt and pepper. Cook eggs in the pan. If you do it: Insert your choice of mushrooms, cheese, peppers or onions.

Spaghetti and sauce. Again, not too creative,but you can pick up a package of spaghetti and a can of sauce for less than two dollars. Add Parmesan cheese on top.

Tuna sandwiches. Often in the sale, offering tuna meat dinner this week. For four filling sandwiches, use four of the smaller doses. Give all doses dump into a bowl, mayonnaise or salad dressing, along with a few to enjoy, if you've got it. Stir, spread on bread. I want to use ranch dressing.

Grilled cheese sandwiches. Bread and butter on bothPages and on a medium heat and grill. Add a piece of cheese. Splurge on an extra slice of cheese per sandwich!

Enclosures:

Watch for sales on frozen vegetables. You can often pick up a one-pound bag for less than a dollar.
Slice fresh tomatoes in columns, or a cucumber slice to go with a sandwich. Any fresh vegetables do.
Slice a piece of fruit for a healthy dessert.
Stop by Walgreens and see what the sale of the food passage. Theyoften have good deals on canned mandarins make that a delicious dessert. Add a bit of coconut or a few marshmallows, if you have them.
Walgreen's will often canned mushrooms on sale, too.
How about dinner for one quarter? Walgreen check for ramen noodles.
Cake mixes and canned frosting are often less than a dollar price, especially the store brands. Their only additions are a little oil (or applesauce if you have to count calories) and a couple of eggs (from the Save --Meal above). For a few dollars you can dessert for a few nights or snacks for a few days.

Even if you have a tight budget, you can still have a delicious meal. Not gourmet restaurants, but you will not be hungry!
