Please disregard previous comments state that this shell has a coating of paint on the inside surface. Nothing to do with a lacquer finish on the inside is in the directions indicated in the company of the shell. Quite the contrary. This bowl is categorical on the inner surface covered with a painting at that time NOT (Dec. 2009).
Just activate "the surface of copper with a" cleaning "of lemon juice (or white vinegar) and salt and then wipe it dry (you should do before the game against the eggWhite with ANY) copper bowl and is ready to go. The bowl is an excellent value. Compare it with the flat Mauviel of similar dimensions to $ 120.00!
If you think you need, you can rest the bowl as an accessory to buy. But the value of people's minds may want to just soak a towel rolled up and shaped to stabilize them in a ring of wealth (more like a pretzel) in round bottom bowl, sitting on the counter - this works very well.
